of fasting…. Ramadan Kareem
When Ramadan arrives all Muslim
will fast to carry out ‘The five pillars of Islam’. Fasting is the third pillar
of Islam for Muslims after prayers.
The five pillars of Islam:
- Testimony of Faith (kalima shahadah)
- Establishment of the daily prayers (Pray)
- Self-purification through fasting (Fasting)
- Concern for and almsgiving to the needy (Zakat)
- The pilgrimage to Makkah (Hajj)
Why we ‘muslim’ encourage to
fasting….? The benefit of fasting is to foster the self-patience nature of
things for sake of Allah s.w.t. not for other things. By fasting, can train
our-self to be patient in some difficult circumstances or test. In the face of
an alleged soul with patience can increase the feel of love to Creator.
In Qur’an..Verse 185, Surah
Al-Baqarah:-
Which means..”Ramadan is the month
of the Qur’an it as a guide to mankind, and for guidance, and separator
(between right and wrong)”. The month of Ramadan is a blessed month, which
Allah revealed in Qur’an. On top of that there is many of hadith described the

From Abu Hurairah, The prophet of
Muhammad S.A.W said:
“When the month of Ramadan comes,
the gates of mercy are open and the gates of hell closed and the devils are
tied up. - Hadith issued by Imam Bukhari, Muslim, Nasai'e, Ahmad and Bayhaqi”.
From Abu Hurairah, The Prophet of
Muhammad S.A.W said:
“Whoever fasts during Ramadan with
faith and sincerity He will pardon your transgression sins of the past. - In
the history of Imams Nasai'e, Ibn Majah, Ibn Habban and Beyhaqi-“
That's why in this blessed month of
Ramadan, Muslims are urged to take advantage of this Ramadan to do worship as
much as possible to increase the good deeds and prevent prohibited act.
On one of the nights
in the month of Ramadan, one of the last nights at 10 last night during the
month of Ramadan is the Night of Qadr, which is a special night for all
Muslims. It is a night that is better than a thousand months. In the last 10
nights of Ramadan, Prophet of Muhammad S.A.W earnestly do worship than other nights of Ramadan.
However, in most of the 10 last night, have not been specified which one Lailatul Qadr night, even the scholars themselves difficult to decide. Hence, the scholars suggest that on the whole night in the month of Ramadan,
especially in the last 10 nights.
